This paper mentions the importance of best practices for the Library professional to improve their skills and provide effective services to the users, so that all the resources in the library are extensively used. New services in the era of informa- tion Technology are discussed and the ways and means to orient the users to bring awareness about the CD and e-resources so that whatever amount is spent on them is used to the maximum extent by the users.
