The AJMS Privacy Policy explains how the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI), publisher of the Asian Journal of Managerial Science, may collect, use, protect, share, retain, and respond to requests concerning personal information used in journal and publishing activities.

1. Information We May Collect

Depending on how a person interacts with AJMS, information may include contact and affiliation details, research interests, ORCID or similar identifiers, manuscript and submission metadata, peer-review and editorial records, billing or payment-related information, and technical or account data reasonably generated through use of the website or editorial platform.

2. Purposes for Using Personal Information

Information may be used to manage accounts; administer submission, peer review, editorial assessment, production, publication, and archiving; communicate with journal participants; process invoices or payments; register DOIs and distribute publication metadata; maintain integrity and security records; send legitimate journal communications under the Direct Marketing Policy; and respond to applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

3. Storage and Security

CRI uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information from accidental loss, alteration, deletion, unauthorised access, or unauthorised disclosure. Access should be limited to people who require information for legitimate journal, publishing, technical, financial, or administrative purposes.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

Personal information is not sold or traded as a commercial list. Information may be shared where necessary for legitimate journal operations such as manuscript handling, DOI registration, indexing and discovery, preservation, payment processing, hosting, technical support, legal compliance, or serious research-integrity and security concerns.

5. Confidential Manuscripts and Peer Review

Submitted manuscripts, protected reviewer identities, reviewer reports, editorial correspondence, and unpublished research information are confidential and should be shared only with authorised individuals or service providers involved in legitimate editorial or publishing functions. 6. Cookies, External Services and Children

The AJMS website or editorial platform may use cookies or similar technologies for account access, security, session management, functionality, and user experience. External services may have their own privacy notices. AJMS does not knowingly seek children’s personal information for journal publishing services.

7. Retention and Data Requests

Personal information and publishing records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for journal operations, scholarly-record integrity, contractual, accounting, security, preservation, legal, or research-integrity purposes. Subject to applicable law and legitimate record requirements, individuals may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction concerning certain information. Privacy-related requests may be sent to info@crijournals.org.

For transparency, the policy may link to the official Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as reference material where relevant. These links should not be presented as a blanket claim that every AJMS processing activity is automatically compliant with every jurisdiction.
