Open Access Policy

The AJMS Open Access Policy explains the journal’s Gold Open Access model, licensing, repository rights, digital preservation, author charges, discounts, refunds, and editorial independence. The final published Version of Record is made immediately and permanently available online without subscription, registration, or pay-per-view barriers.

1. Gold Open Access

Readers may access AJMS articles free of charge and share them in accordance with the journal’s Creative Commons licence. Open access is intended to improve global availability, discoverability, readership, and scholarly dissemination.

Following completion of the journal’s copyright transfer requirements, copyright in the published Version of Record is held by the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI). AJMS articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International licence. The licence permits non-commercial sharing with appropriate attribution but does not permit distribution of modified or derivative versions without additional permission.

3. Repository Policy

Authors may deposit submitted manuscripts, accepted manuscripts, and the published Version of Record in appropriate institutional or subject repositories without an embargo. The Version of Record should remain unchanged and retain the citation, DOI or permanent link, copyright notice, licence information, and acknowledgement of AJMS and CRI as the original publication source.

4. Digital Preservation

AJMS uses the PKP Preservation Network to support long-term preservation and continued access to journal content.

5. Article Processing Charge and Other Fees

The current AJMS APC is INR 3,000 for authors based in India and USD 50 for authors based outside India. There is no manuscript submission fee. The APC is payable only after editorial acceptance following peer review, and payment, waiver, discount, or refund status does not influence editorial decisions. 6. Fee Discounts

AJMS provides a 50% APC discount for corresponding authors from Research4Life Group A countries, subject to the current Research4Life eligibility criteria at the time of submission.

7. Refunds and Editorial Independence

The journal’s refund rules apply in limited circumstances such as publisher-caused failure to publish an accepted manuscript or duplicate payment. Editorial assessment, peer review, acceptance, rejection, correction, and retraction remain independent of author fees and financial considerations.
